On Monday 18th September staff and pupils from The Hawthorne’s School will be exhibiting artwork at the Liverpool School of Art and Design. In addition to artwork from our own pupils, you will also be able to see creative works from St Margaret’s, Warrington UTC and Kilgarth Boys School.
The pupil’s participation is aimed to be a creative learning process where they gain an understanding of the three artists’ (Neville Gabie, Patricia MacKinnon-Day and Paul Rooney) conceptual approach and working methods, and, in addition, act as a ‘focus group’ to test how this approach can give new understanding to difficult subject matter such as Tressell’s work.
A private view will be held for parents and pupils on Monday 18th September from 4.30pm-6.30pm. The exhibition will then continue from Tuesday 19th to Friday 22nd September from 9am-6pm.
