At The Hawthorne’s we like to start with the end in mind.  Therefore, we believe that your child’s journey through secondary education should begin with a visit to a Russel Group University.    Our motto of ‘Where aspirations become reality’ is our core purpose, our ASPIRE values drive every part your child’s progress and therefore aiming high from day one is vital to your child’s success. 

The morning is spent with the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Liverpool; we meet students and professors through taking part in workshops. 

The afternoon session at the World Museum is designed to ignite student’s interest in real life Mathematics whilst also building their cultural capital.   The day provides a great opportunity for the students bond as a year group, additionally they will meet older students who can guide them and support them through their transition to secondary school.

This is just one element of The Hawthorne’s Induction Programme which has been carefully designed to give our new students a warm welcome and prepare them for an exciting life of character and leadership at the school.  The full programme will ensure students forge new relationships with peers and teachers and develop an understanding of our ASPIRE code of values.
