This morning our lockdown monologue winners Ruby O’Neill from Year 9 and Mr Weaver, King’s Hawthornes English teacher, had a moment of celebrity fame on BBC Radio Merseyside when they were interviewed by Tony Snell.
The two winners wrote and performed monologues depicting their experiences throughout the COVID-19 lockdown using their creative writing and performing arts skills.
King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes puts a great deal of focus on developing oracy skills in its pupils and was thrilled with the exceptional standard of competition entries received from both students and staff.
Listen here to today’s interview:
Well done everyone who entered!
