NEW YORK 2014
The Hawthorne’s School Art and Textiles departments are running a trip to New York during the February half term break for pupils studying those subjects. This is a unique opportunity for pupils to study in one of the most exciting cities in the world.
We will be visiting art galleries such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Guggenheim and MOMA. Many of the pupils studying either GCSE Art or Textiles will find this an incredible opportunity to be inspired by some of the greatest artworks by the greatest artists exhibited in the greatest art galleries in the world!
Of course, we will also take in the incredible sights that ‘the city that never sleeps’ has to offer. A trip up the Empire State Building is a must, viewing the Statue of Liberty is guaranteed, we just have to go to Central Park and, of course, go shopping!
Many pupils – and members of staff – are counting the sleeps until we go!
