Foundation pupils got involved with Project Linus, a charity which makes quilts for sick and traumatised babies, children and teenagers.
Over several weeks dedicated pupils learnt how to create a quilt pattern and sew it together; they even signed their work using machine embroidery skills. Pupils had a real sense of achievement as they were able to pass their work over to Project Linus representative Caroline Fogel, who assured pupils their quilts would be getting passed on to young people in need across Merseyside.
Pupils enjoyed developing their sewing skills so much we plan to continue to work on the quilting project again this academic year.
