On Friday 11th July over 30 students from Year 7 and 8 went to Bootle Cricket Club to represent The Hawthorne’s in the annual striking and fielding competitions.   Following on from the girls rounders success at the St Mary’s Tournaments with Year 7 achieving 4th position and Year 8 being victorious, they carried on their winning ways to gain the glory of being South Sefton Champions for the second year running.  The boys cricket teams batted and fielded well, they were unlucky to lose some of their games.  The cricket teams have been coached by Mr Wooliscroft this term and have made great progress.  Well done
