This is the first of our updates on students at King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes. We learned last academic year about Chloe’s aspirations to be an Olympian. Read on to find out how her journey with school is progressing:
‘This year I had the opportunity to choose my GCSE options and made sure that PE was one of them! I am looking forward to studying the dynamics of fitness and how the body adjusts in training as this will help me to formulate my own optimum fitness schedule.
I have also been lucky enough to visit several universities and was extremely impressed by the University of Liverpool and their Faculty of Sports.
I am still firmly focussed and dedicated to achieving my goal of becoming an Olympian. Since the last time we spoke I have been involved consistently in Sefton athletic competitions representing my school and have achieved a range of awards in recognition of my ability.
My future ambitions are to develop my leadership skills further by leading athletic activities and competitions with some of our feeder primary schools.’
