On Friday, the pupils had a fantastic opportunity to meet and listen to author and adventurer Alice Morrison. Through her stories and experiences, pupils were transported to Morocco whilst learning of her worldly travels and the fascinating people – and animals – she encountered.
Some made and drank hot sweet tea like Alice did on her travels; others were dressed in Arabic/Moroccan clothing and all learned of her endeavours and the traditions of Morocco – they even learned of the natural remedies to survive Scorpion stings!
The energy and excitement in the room was electric. Pupils were fascinated by Alice and her adventures and we learned a great deal about the ventures and opportunities that are out there in the world.
